We're a part of something BIG - the United States Tennis Association

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for tennis in the United States.  A not-for-profit organization with more than 700,000 members, it invests 100% of its proceeds to promote and develop the growth of tennis, from the grass-roots to the professional level.  www,

The association was founded as the United States National Lawn Association in1881 to standardize the rules and regulations of tennis.  USTA offers nationwide programs for junior and adult league players for all skill levels as well as junior and adult tournaments for club players and professionals.  The USTA owns and runs the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in NYC which hosts the Grand Slam US Open each year.  In January 2017, the USTA will open the National USTA Campus, the new home for American tennis in Lake Nona, FL.

USTA Foundation, the charitable arm of the USTA, supports programs nationwide that leverage tennis and education and help those in need, primarily through the National Junior Tennis & Learning network, and also through efforts to assist Military Heroes and individuals with disabilities.

Rockingham County Tennis Association is a USTA community tennis association and registered National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) chapter. We are supported with programs and grants from the USTA North Carolina state office located at 2709 Henry Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 (336) 852-8577  USTA NC Staff Directory
