COACHES CORNER

RESOURCES FOR MS AND HS TENNIS COACHES

“Competition for young children is not about winning at all cost, aggression or rivalries. It is about enjoying the challenge of playing games and putting their skills into practice, in a fun, social, and often team environment.”

Dave Miley, ITF Executive Director, Development

NEW NFHS LEARNING CENTER ONLINE COURSE FOR HIGH SCHOOL COACHES

We have a fabulous new resource available for high school tennis coaches!  Through partnership between the USTA and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), we have recently completed the “first-ever” tennis course to be featured on the NFHS  Learning Center site.

Coaching Tennis was designed specifically to help new and inexperienced high school tennis coaches (math, science teachers, etc.) develop the proper vision, knowledge and skills for leading effective practices and improving the high school player experience.  We believe this course will be a game changer for helping foster more connectivity between the USTA and thousands of high school coaches across the nation. Click here to see a preview of the course.

RC Tennis will make one copy of this course (a $35 value) available to each Rockingham County Middle and High School Tennis Coach.  Request a link to the course from RCTennisAssociation@gmail.com.
